Parents, we are excited to welcome both new and returning kids to the 2026 Little Warriors program. For those who are new, Preston Little Warrior is a beginner-friendly youth wrestling program that builds confidence, coordination, and resilience. Practices focus on safe fundamentals, fun partner drills, and sportsmanship, with coaches who keep every session positive and age-appropriate for elementary students of all experience levels. Tournament participation is completely optional for families; when available, entry is typically about $10 per child. The season runs from late February through March, with all practices held in the wrestling room at Preston High School. Kids will be split into two groups to maintain safety during practice and make it easier for coaches to work with everyone. Kids who register together will be placed in the same group.
We strongly recommend that you join our Band group to stay up to date.

Team T-Shirts

We are excited to do team shirts again this year, but in a new way: you only pay if you want one, and you will not be waiting weeks for delivery.
At the first practice, a vendor will be on site making shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. If you want a shirt, you can pay on the spot and take it home that day. We expect shirts to cost about $15 but pricing is still being finalized.
Your Little Warrior registration does NOT include the price of the shirt. As part of the registration below, please let us know if you would be interested so we can plan sizes and quantities. No payment for shirts is due at this time.
Register Now
- Do you offer refunds? Refunds are not available due to the short season. If you have extenuating circumstances, please reach out to Matt Dyer.
- Do I need to purchase a team shirt? No, shirts are optional and will be paid for on site at the first practice.
- Do I have to go to all the tournaments? No, tournaments are optional but they are a great opportunity for your children to practice what they are learning in the room in a real match. Most tournament guarentee that kids will get atleast 2-3 matches. Please note that most tournaments will have a $10/kid entry fee.
- How will the charge show up on my credit card? The charge will post as a "CHARITY TRANSACTION" and receipts will mention "CLADE Foundation Inc". We are in the process of updating the name of the non-profit to Idaho Wrestling Foundation Inc.
- How will I know if my kids are on Group 1 or Group 2? We will provide a list prior to the first day of practice. Kids who register together will automatically be in the same group. If you want to be in the same group as someone else, please add a note in the registration form.
Idaho Wrestling Foundation, Inc.
The Idaho Wrestling Foundation is a nonprofit organization in the process of being established to expand access to youth wrestling across Idaho. Our goal is simple: remove financial barriers to participation while reinforcing the values that make wrestling unique: discipline, accountability, and resilience.
The Foundation is being built by people who understand the sport and believe that opportunity should not depend on family income. At the same time, we believe participation should be earned through commitment, effort, and respect for the process.
As this organization takes shape, we are actively seeking input from coaches, parents, and members of the wrestling community to help refine the model and ensure it reflects shared values and real needs.
Stay tuned as we announce more in the future. If you’re interested in learning more or being part of the conversation, please reach out to matt@idwrestling.org.
